📖 Job Overview

UNESCO is recruiting a Consultant Digital Arts Expert for its Culture Sector work connected with the UNESCO Office in Islamabad. The appointment is a Level 2 middle-level consultant contract with a three-month duration. The duty station is Islamabad while the official vacancy lists the work location as remote. The consultancy supports the project “Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and Digital Transformation in Pakistan.” The assignment focuses on strengthening practical digital skills for creative professionals and helping artists understand digital production, online distribution, branding, entrepreneurship, copyright and the ethical use of digital and AI tools.

Contract: Consultant Contract, Level 2 – Middle | Duration: 3 months | Deadline: 21 August 2026 (Midnight UTC+5)

🎯 Main Assignment

  • Design the full curriculum and training materials for a two-module digital arts workshop delivered over at least two full days.
  • Cover digital visual-arts production, tools such as Photoshop/Illustrator/Procreate, editing, composition and preparing artwork for digital release or print.
  • Cover online distribution, artist branding, digital creative business, copyright and intellectual property, social-media basics and accessible e-commerce/direct-to-fan tools.
  • Introduce AI tools in visual arts in an accessible way while addressing ethical considerations and diverse cultural expression.
  • Mobilize trainers/resource persons and organize a mentorship or peer-exchange session with at least three established digital-arts professionals.
  • Coordinate workshop logistics, participant outreach and monitoring, then submit a final report with results and recommendations.

🎓 Eligibility

  • Education: Master’s degree in Digital Arts or a field related to Cultural and Creative Industries.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in digital arts, digital production or digital-skills training for creative professionals.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Urdu.
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical and report-writing skills; proficiency with MS Office; ability to prioritize and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Useful background: Experience with international organizations, inclusive/gender-sensitive outreach, facilitation or adult/non-formal education is desirable.
