Job Overview
Pakistan Navy has issued a separate PN Cadet Term 2027-A recruitment advertisement for Engineering Branches. Like the Operations/Supply intake, registration is open from 13 September to 11 October 2026, but the academic subject requirement is narrower.
The Engineering Branch route requires the Pre-Engineering combination of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with the advertised minimum marks. Academic Requirements
- FSc Pre-Engineering or equivalent route with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
- At least 60% marks under the advertised Matric/FSc or O/A Level criteria.
- O/A Level candidates must obtain the required IBCC equivalence.
- Pre-Medical candidates can use the Additional Mathematics route if they satisfy the deadline stated in the advertisement.
- Appearing FSc candidates may use the Hope Certificate route where they have the required Part-I marks.
Hope Certificate & Final Result Rule
The current Engineering advertisement permits eligible FSc appearing candidates with at least 65% in Part-I to register with a Hope Certificate from their institution. They must complete the qualifying FSc/HSSC-equivalent examination by the advertised date and ultimately meet the minimum result requirement.
A candidate who applies on a Hope Certificate but later fails to achieve the minimum required marks can be disqualified during selection or training.

- Preliminary medical and interview at the Navy Recruitment & Selection Centre.
- Physical/medical and further selection assessments for shortlisted candidates.
- ISSB/psychological assessment where applicable to the PN Cadet permanent-commission route.
- Final merit and service selection by Pakistan Navy.
How Engineering Differs from Operations/Supply
The main difference for applicants at the registration stage is the subject combination. Engineering specifically requires Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Operations/Supply also accepts Physics-Maths-Computer Science and Physics-Maths-Statistics combinations.
